you probably won't like this.

Blogging cliques. You know what I am talking about. Why has this taken over the blogospere?!  What happened to all being friends and sitting on rainbows?
I get that we are all "trying" to make it as a blogger, but do we need to get all Mean Girls on each other?!

So numbers of your blog matter. You can say it. We are all thinking it. You may think they don't, but if you don't surpass over 500 in the first year of blogging, you aren't succeeding. I guess that means that I am not successful, huh? I have been blogging on and off for the past five years. I only started getting followers about six months ago.
Why? I have no idea.

I want to think it was because lovely Aubz designed my blog and its more aesthetically pleasing...but it was also because I don't blog about things that are actually important to me. I don't tell you all about the depression that I suffer from...because no one wants to read about that. Most want to read about the weekend and getting sloshed off of boxed wine. My weekends are nothing about wine and usually involve me working double shifts.

I don't get sent hairdryers and flat irons like most bloggers. That's possibly because I don't do OOTD posts. Sorry, I am not comfortable in my own skin...and most of my clothes are so last season. (I know fashion, I just can't afford fashion...)

The cliques that have formed within the blog world make me feel like we are all back in high school. I feel like there are these tables:

The Queen Bees (much like Cady Heron and Regina George's table)
The bloggers who have a million followers, but don't care about the numbers
The bloggers who are like, really famous
The bloggers who want to be like the Queen Bees
The momma bloggers
The wedding bloggers
The fashion bloggers
The DIY bloggers

And these bloggers stay in these groups even on social media. I have noticed that much like Mean Girls, the mommy's socialize with the mommy's, the wedding girls socialize with other wedding girls and so on.

So when did we decide to go all Regina George on everyone?

Sunday Social? Sunday Social!

Gasp. I am linking up. I don't think I have ever talked about these questions so let's do it!
Also, its GOLDEN GLOBE DAY! That means I will be live tweeting!!! (@elizalouisebell)

1. What is the name of your blog? How long have you been blogging?
Obviously, it's i couldn't help but wonder... it used to be Chanel and Chocolate Cake, but then I realized I didn't want to get sued by Chanel for using their name. I have been blogging on and off for about 6 years. This used to be my blog about SF when I lived there, but then I deleted all those posts and made this my lifestyle blog. I started "really blogging"  when I postponed my wedding for the first time.

2. Why do you blog?
Because I want to make money.  Who am I kidding? Hahaha. I blog to get my writing out of my system. Obvi it's not book material or anything, but I just like doing it!
I also blog to meet people. The people I met blogging are a huge part of my life. It would be cool if was a "popular blogger" one day though.

3. What is the first blog you ever followed? Cupcakes and Cashmere back in 2008 when she first started...and lived in CA like I did.

4. What is your favorite post you wrote in 2012? Hmm. I blogged about my experience with my first Brazilian. Then there was the time I actually did a DIY post. I also voted. (But not in that sense...) And then there was an occasional PLL post.

5. What are your blogging goals for 2013?
Blog more. Srsly.
Do OOTD posts like Aubz. She rocks at those. I wanna rock also.
Actually meet some of my blog BFFs.
Comment more.
6. Top 3 favorite blogs to follow?
I love Yoga Pants. Whit is hilar.
I also equally love Arkansassy. Ty is SO silly.
There's also the girls I talk to all the time... Aubz (who also designed my blog!!) and Meliss. (Meliss is a Bee over on Wedding Bee!)
I hate playing favorites, but those are the ones I really look forward to when they are in my reader!

I'd also love to meet you! Tell me about yourself!

What's on my DVR??

....if I had a DVR. So I haven't seen my dear friend for about a year, but I am pretty sure that it would be the same as it was.

About 13 episodes of FRIENDS.

The last season of Pretty Little Liars.

1 episode of Justified, White Collar, Amish Mafia and Moonshiners for Beardy.

139102 episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Demi Lovato's special from MTV.

Random episodes of Full House and The Nanny from Nick @ Nite.

The football game from the week before.

Random true crime shows like 48 Hours and Snapped.

Gossip Girl episodes that I have been meaning to watch.

and finally, 2328 episodes of Sex and the City.

Do you have weird things on your DVR?

In other news, how do we feel about The Carrie Diaries? Are we DVRing that on Monday?

Why I suck as a blogger.

So, my twitter has been all full of Bachelor things since yesterday. I must suck as a blogger because I don't really do the whole Bachelor thing. But then I was thinking... I don't do a lot of the "popular" things on twitter.

I suck as a blogger.

The bachelor is dumb because of the sole fact that I believe that he is dating multiple woman, then when he gets down to 3 or whatever, he's cheating on the other girls with the other.

I hatehatehate the Boo Boo Child phenom too. That family did NOT need a TV Show.

I don't understand the whole GIF thing... Everyone seems to be using them in every.single.one of their posts. (I tried to, I feel like I am trying too hard.)  And they are from usually a Real Housewife of sorts.

I don't even know why the Real Housewives are on tv. If you want dramz turn on Young and the Restless. (Holla to Nikki and Victor!!)

I don't even know what a weekend means, so you won't see my brunch on Sunday or my wine Saturday night.

Speaking of wine. You know how I feel about boxed wine...it's kind of faux pax... and I like it.

I don't do OOTD posts because, well, I wear leggings and oversized sweaters to the nursing home and I have a costume for the makeup store.

I don't do sponsorships...mostly because I only have 300 some followers...

I don't do giveaways, because I don't have the money to buy gifts to giveaway. (sorry.)

I don't do Starbux. I don't see the point, it's overpriced.

I don't paint my nails, because I usually screw them up within the first hour anyway.

I have never seen Revenge, Once Upon a Time, or really care to watch a college football game. (Sorry, Meliss. Don't hate me.) <3

So, you see why I say I "suck" as a blogger?
I'm sorry.

I do, however, watch Pretty Little Liars, and there will be recaps. I am OBSESSED.

To all my new readers, welcome! I appreciate that you want to spend time reading what I have to say (no matter how lame I can be...)

Disappointed in Target.

This is my target. Almost completely still there. Everything.
Sad huh?
Def a big fat FLOP.

The one thing I wanted was the Marc Jacobs pouch. When I saw it...
I cried a little inside.
 It's so cheap looking!

My goddaughter Kalea could wrap up a clutch in tin foil and it would resemble this!

This was the worst part of the whole thing. The cheap looking MARC JACOBS. I can't even...
When did Target think this was a good idea!?
And Mr. Jacobs would put his name on this!!?!

They are still 20.19 or whatever, so it's 70% off, but I may look and see if it goes down to 10.00, because I can justify spending 10, not 20...and obviously not 69.99!

Thank you to my friends who talked me down from buying the cheap pouch. Without social media I would be using a tinfoil pouch.
