March Favorites!

I see youtube videos that are like this every month, so I figure, let's do a series on my blog!! I bought some new products (some are old) that I was very impressed with. Here is what I was grabbing for during March.
1: Poise Tint by Benefit--I love this liquid blush it has a brush applicator and is so easy to apply. I like the dewy look it gives me all day.
2: This will be three products:
a: Revlon Creme Shadow--which I like a lot because it reminds me of the MAC paint pots. You can find this at your local drugstore.
b: Eye Bright by Benefit--This is a God-send for someone who never sleeps. I use it in the corner of my eyes to give me a woken-up look. It is also a nice highlighter!
c: Elf Eyelid Primer--This I compared to Urban Decay's Primer Potion and I feel like its pretty much a tie. So I think this is a good dupe for UD's Primer Potion. I use it underneath my eyeshadow, makes it crease less and stay on longer.
3: Physicians Formula Happy Boost Bronzer in light--I figured I would try this because it said "happy boost" in the product. It is a good product and kind of gives you a boost. The color is perfect.
4:Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller--This is beyond amazing. It is an eye roller that you use in the morning before you put on your foundation. I use it under my eyes as a concealer. It really takes away under eye circles!
5: Pretty Little Liars Book series-- If you were addicted to the show, the books will fill the void until they return in the summer. Its a really quick read and I actually joined a book group for this particular series. The books are much different than the show, but I think it's still pretty good.
6: My new i-pod touch case in Marc Jacobs purple. I got this case off of ebay for 7 dollars and it is pure fabulousness! The little bows come off so you can accessorize your i-pod.

What have you been loving in March??

Picking my Spring Favs!

Boho Spice Girls anyone? I realize now the dresses that I picked from Forever21 look like the new recruits for Spice World, but I couldn't help but love these dresses. Prints and minis are in this season!!! Cinched waists are my favorite. How about you?

Warhol Wednesday!

I was trying to write a post on my favorite UD Palette, NAKED and Warhol had to be RIGHT there with me. You'd think I neglected him!!

What I learned from my grandma:

That's my grandma Louise.
My grandma died when I was 13 but I remember a lot about her. She lived right next door, so I was lucky. I got to see her every single day if I wanted.  I remember doing her hair while waiting for "Bert and Ernie" (obvi Sesame Street) to come on; which was usually Thursday, because then she got her hair done for real on Friday. {I probably made her look terribs, but she always let me do it. I wish I could find that big pink pick I used...} I remember going to a local boutique called 5th Avenue where she would look at expensive clothing that she couldn't afford but still bought. I remember going to another store that had my size clothing (I was 4) and that store had an indoor slide. I remember her porcelain doll collection and how I got to play with them even though they were glass. She died suddenly in April of 2001, so it will be 10 years coming up. I wanted to share with you all (things I remember) of what I learned from my grandma.

This is what I have learned from my grandma:
  • Always have your hair done on Friday, so it looks good for going out Saturday and Church on Sunday.
  • Always use Aqua Net hairspray. (Okay, I really don't do this...but still, hairspray is my friend.)
  • Never go grey.
  • Red lips are a must!
  • Scarves are one accessory that is a must have! For your head or your neck.
  • Wear dresses on Sunday.

While, we're at it here are some more that aren't fashion related:
  • Break up your candy bars. (And HIDE them in the fridge!!) (Or a convenient place that your grandkids can find.) That way you won't feel guilty eating the whole thing in one sitting!
  • Always order from the Schwan's Man you never know when you'll have guests for dinner. (Turned out to be every night, she cooked a lot for us.)
  • Bacon blotted on newspaper always tastes better.
  • Always order a sandwich with toast instead of a bun, it cuts calories.
  • This is the best way to drown your sorrows.
I miss you grandma every day. You live on in my name and my style.

xo, elizabethLOUISE

Weekend: Dells and meet and greets.

Cassie (sissy), my mom and I went to a concert this weekend. The Band Perry is fairly new, out of TN, all play their own instruments brother sister band. How fab are they:

We drove down to see them at a local (by local I mean like 2 hours...wooh car rides!) Anyone been to Cracker Barrel?

This game is at every table. My mom won it in the first try.

At the concert, I realized Cassie was wearing two belts.

The show was fab, they are amazing performers.

We were the 20th row, but it still was a good show.
Thank God for ZOOM!!

The only gripe that we both have (sissy and I) is that they had a meet and greet after and it was such a small area that it was mass chaos. I would have loved to meet them, but maybe during the summer, when they play at a local country fest. Tanning and music? I'm there!
Did you do anything fun on the weekend?

Must Have Mondays!

I am going to try an start a new weekly Monday post. My favorite trends will be spotlighted and maybe new trends I am willing to try.

I am growing my hair out, so my typical day is throwing it up in a pony or a messy bun. I found that floral hair accessories liven up the worst of hair days!

La La Love!

This week I did a lot of browsing because it was my spring break. It's not Daytona Beach, but whatever!

*I found this little guy on ebay for my ipod touch. The bow is detachable!!! (And in different colors!!!)

*I saw this band live last night in Wisconsin Dells. They are a brother/sister country (yeah, okay, I like country sometimes...) band.
(Post about yesterday later this week.)

*My friend, Vanny did this blog post about her i-phone. Made me want one even more. ALSO do you see her roommates cat?

*Speaking of Warhol....we got him this necklace:
It matches his fur color, so I figured what the heck! (yes, I call his collar a necklace, it sounds more fashionable)

*Elsie from A Beautiful Mess did a post with this gorgeous headpiece that reminded me of Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra.
Rest In Peace Liz.

*I found this funny Twitter explanation too.
*We just moved and I thought this would be inspirational for wall decor!
*Everyone knows my love of the elderly. I found this by the guy who does the Advanced Style Blog.

Did you find any good links? I want to see them!!!

Warhol Wednesday!

Warhol loves to help print our papers. We actually found him in the middle of the night pushing the buttons to make the paper feed.

Warhol Wednesday....er I mean SUNDAY!

So we just moved and that's why I haven't been on here as much....but with the move, I had to remember Warhol's favorite thing. Anyone want to guess what it is??

That's right, a box. A box that is three sizes too small for him. Anyone want me to mail him to you? I can save on postage with this too-small box. :)

Warhol Wednesday

He's wearing a sweater. Yep.

La La Love!

Remember when I said I was going to try and post everyday or every(other) day? Yeah me too. I failed you! Well, after quitting my job (which will be in a new post sometime soon) I have had a lot of time trolling the internet. These are some things I found.
1: I wonder if my sissy would get this matching tattoo with me. I'd pay!
2: Another thing I have been doing a lot lately is watching youtube gurus, which I found one that is totally rad and she has killer style. Her name is Bunny, and you can check out her latest video here. She is pretty amazing if you ask me. She even gave me a shout-out on her video! (Holla to Marc Jacobs!!)
3: I also gave in and got a tumblr. You can find it here.
4: We are moving in a couple of weeks so that means I am getting excited about having A REAL OFFICE. Like legit place to sit down and do homework! YAYYY! I have been in love with office pics lately. Trying to figure out how my style is going to be.
Maybe like this?  Oh goodness gracious. I am excited.
5: I also may have been a tad obsessed with this lately:
If anyone knows how hard it is to find this, you know my reasoning for loving so much!
6: Anyone remember these? I have been obsessed with trying to find mine at my mom's (no luck.) I want my goddaughter to play with them! Soo vintage.
